PT Bookkeeper/Accountant - Quickbooks Online & Shopify - Contract to Hire

We are looking to fill a bookkeeper and accounting specialist for a small US company. This role would be about 30 hours per week. QuickBooks online and Shopify experience is a MUST! We are seeking an experienced and motivated bookkeeper to join our culture of excellence! We are hiring for the position of a Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist to begin immediately. This is a critical position in our organization, enabling the rest of the team to function smoothly and making sure no detail slips through the cracks. Excellent communication & time management skills are crucial. QuickBooks online and Shopify experience is a MUST. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Accounts Payables (i.e. reviewing & posting bills, credit card transactions and expense reports, AP report maintenance, and processing payments) • Accounts Receivables (posting payments, working with AR reports, and supporting the company with collections) • Payroll (i.e. payroll & payroll tax management & processing) • Cash Flow management & control, as well as budget forecasting & reporting Administrative Tasks, including but not limited to, the following: • Management of the company's online & physical document storage and databases • Troubleshooting technical issues as needed • Safeguarding the financial interests of the company (i.e. taking the initiative to resolve erroneous billing, etc.) Job Requirements: • Experience working in QuickBooks online and Shopify • Experience processing Payroll within an organization with multiple categories of employees (i.e. W2, 1099, etc.) • Experience with Accounts Reconciliation • Experience with Sales tax • Experience with US small business liabilities and insurance and tax compliance • Knowledge of Payroll taxes (State & Federal) • Experience with purchasing & inventory management • Fluency in French and/or Spanish is ideal, but not required • Proficient with use of AI , computer systems and comfortable with common digital collaboration tools Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Remote role Schedule: • Day shift (EST time zone) • Monday to Friday - weekends optional when working independently Experience: • QuickBooks online: 5 years (Required) • Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred) • Accounts Payables: 5 years (Preferred) • Shopify (Preferred) • What is your experience with accounting and more specifically with QuickBooks online? • What is your experience with Shopify? • What is your experience with Accounts Payables? • What is your experience with Accounts Receivables? • Describe your experience with small business bookeeping and accounting in the US. • What is your experience with bank reconcicilation? • What is your experience with P&L and balance sheets? • What is your experience with QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks time? • What is your experience with sales tax? • What excites you about the possibility of working for Le Jardin Francais ? • What is your experience in the high-end industry and with the European culture? • What is your philosophy regarding the impact of your lifestyle on your health and the environment? • Do you know what your Myers-Briggs personality type is?
