Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Telehealth Mental Health Practice (New York License Required)
About Us MindHealthUSA is a clinician-led tele-mental health organization dedicated to improving access to psychiatric care across New York. Our team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and therapists delivers evidence-based treatment through secure telehealth technology, combining compassionate care with clinical excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO) licensed in New York State to provide telepsychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications, and offer clinical oversight as a Supervising Psychiatristfor collaborating providers. Position Summary This role is ideal for a psychiatrist who values flexibility, professional autonomy, and teamwork. You will conduct virtual psychiatric assessments, medication management, and follow-up care, while also providing clinical supervision to nurse practitioners as required by New York State guidelines. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up sessions via telehealth • Develop and manage individualized treatment and medication plans • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic and controlled medications in compliance with NYS regulations • Serve as a Supervising Psychiatrist for collaborating nurse practitioners (per NYS requirements) • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the EHR • Collaborate with other behavioral health providers for integrated patient care Requirements • Active New York State Medical License (MD or DO) – required • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry – preferred • Active or eligible to obtain NY DEA registration – required • Eligible and willing to enroll with NY Medicaid – required • Willing and qualified to serve as a supervising psychiatrist for nurse practitioners • Professional liability (malpractice) insurance • Experience with telehealth and electronic health records (EHR) preferred Compensation & Benefits • $130–$175 per hour, based on experience and caseload • Flexible scheduling – choose your hours and patient load • 100% remote with administrative and billing support provided • Credentialing assistance with Medicaid and commercial payers • Collaborative, mission-driven environment with growth opportunities Why Join MindHealthUSA?
