Mental Health Provider Consultant (Former Headway/TherapyMatch Feedback)
Part-Time | Remote | Research & Interview-Based Project
Are you a mental health provider, support staff, or former employee who has worked with Headway (TherapyMatch, Inc.)?
Have you personally experienced unethical billing, appointment cancellations, lack of transparency, or frustrations as a provider using their platform?
We are conducting an in-depth research and legal review of provider and client experiences with Headway and similar tech-enabled therapy platforms. We are seeking contractor consultants to confidentially share their experiences and documentation to support a broader investigation into mental health tech practices.
Position Overview:
As a Mental Health Provider Consultant, you will participate in a structured interview and/or provide written documentation outlining your experience with Headway or TherapyMatch. Your insights will inform an ongoing review of patterns related to billing, platform function, client care disruption, and provider treatment.
This is a one-time or short-term engagement with a fixed project fee, depending on the level of contribution and documentation provided.
We're especially interested in hearing about:
• Unethical or confusing billing practices (e.g., retroactive cost corrections, fee discrepancies)
• Client complaints tied to platform issues or billing
• Provider challenges, including slow reimbursement or forced cancellation fees
• Unauthorized appointment cancellations or tech glitches causing loss of client sessions
• Use of CAQH login credentials, data access issues, or NPI misuse
• Attempts to seek support or resolution—and the outcome
• Misalignment between Headway’s promises and actual service delivery

Qualifications:
• Former or current mental health professional or admin staff.
• Direct experience working with or through Headway/TherapyMatch
• Willingness to share honest, detailed accounts of platform use
• Comfortable participating in a confidential research and legal review
Compensation:
• $50–$200 per interview or submission (depending on detail and documentation)
• Option to remain anonymous in any published materials or legal proceedings
