As a Provider Data Services Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely updates of provider information across systems. This work directly supports patient access to the right providers, ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, and helps organizations deliver better care outcomes.

�� Key Responsibilities

As part of the provider data services team, you will:

Accurately enter, update, and validate provider information in internal databases.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA, and NCQA standards.

Process provider requests for additions, terminations, and demographic updates.

Review incoming provider data for accuracy, completeness, and formatting standards.

Identify discrepancies and work cross-functionally with Provider Relations, Compliance, and IT to resolve issues.

Conduct routine audits to verify provider data accuracy and implement corrective actions.

Track and report provider data quality metrics to management.

Assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Provide customer support to internal and external stakeholders regarding provider data issues.

Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure alignment with compliance guidelines.

�� Qualifications & Skills

To be successful as a Provider Data Services Specialist, candidates should have:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 2+ years in provider data management, healthcare administration, or claims processing.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel, data management systems, and familiarity with SQL a plus.

Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and NCQA standards.

Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a remote environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
