The Role The HSF-National Sales Prospect Lead is responsible for identifying, qualifying and establishing a B2B relationship with high potential accounts on behalf of Hyatt, with a special focus on Essentials brands. Prospect Leads utilize multiple internal and external prospecting tools to identify and engage customers to develop preference and loyalty to Hyatt. Responsibilities include a focus on prospecting and solicitation for transient, group and extended stay business. Understanding key markets, prospecting in new markets, building customer relationships to drive business, and collaborating with hotel colleagues will be core tenants of this role. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Identify customers with business potential across multiple hotels/markets for Hyatt hotels. • Identify and introduce all key buyers within targeted organizations to Hyatt. • Develop and document account intelligence within Hyatt’s CRM. • Educate buyers on Hyatt’s brands and values to build preference and loyalty between organizations. • Gain inclusion of Hyatt hotels in group, transient, and project business sourcing requests. • Support collaborative communication between hoteliers and customers to negotiate and win business. • Engage with hotel sales teams, operators, and owners to build rapport and increase awareness of HSF-National Sales. • Stay current on market conditions, forecasts, and trends. • Utilize information proactively to drive sales. • Maintain a high level of productivity while working independently in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environment. Qualifications Experience Required: • Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience, including both full and select service hotels. • Strong sales knowledge and proven track record of business development within transient and group segments. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Knowledgeable of customer sourcing and booking tools such as Cvent, Cvent Transient, HopSkip, Concur, GetThere, etc. • Experience with industry data tools such as Knowland Group, Amadeus Hotelligence suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc. Experience Preferred: • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business. • Multiple hotel and brand experience. • Extended stay business development experience. • Experience with Hyatt’s Envision sales software. • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. This role is also eligible for the sales incentive plan. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
