Project Manager - Retirement Plan Services Experience Required
A Fortune 500 investment firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a high-visibility technology integration project within its Retirement Plan Services organization. This group provides record keeping and investment services for institutional retirement clients, working extensively with external advisors and consultants.
The project will focus on enabling a managed account platform from one of the firm’s external consultant partners. This includes overseeing the technical integration, operational readiness, legal compliance, and client onboarding efforts needed for a successful launch.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end project delivery for a software integration involving internal technology teams, business partners, and external vendor resources.
• Coordinate work across technology, operations, implementation, legal, client services, and marketing to ensure readiness for client onboarding.
• Partner closely with the firm’s technology provider (FIS) and internal teams to deliver an API-based solution.
• Oversee functional testing, legal approvals, disclosure readiness, and training of client service teams.
• Maintain project documentation and requirements in Confluence and Jira.
• Operate within an Agile environment, ensuring timely deliverables and effective cross-team collaboration.
• Work independently to drive tasks and decisions without heavy PMO oversight.
Qualifications
• 5–7+ years of hands-on project management experience delivering technology solutions.
• Background in retirement plan services and/or the managed accounts segment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of API-based technologies and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
• Experience with Omni record keeping systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Confluence and Jira.
• Deep understanding of Agile practices.
• Strong vendor management skills, especially with external technology partners.
• Certifications are helpful but not required.
