Role Overview:
• Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced M&A Project Manager (Applications) to support its Mergers & Acquisitions IT team. This role will focus on application identification, dispositioning, separation planning, and TSA exit activities across M&A initiatives.
• The Project Manager will work closely with application owners, IT deal team leads, business stakeholders, and procurement teams to ensure successful Day 1 readiness and post-close application separation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with application and service owners to define Day 1 separation approaches and plans
• Manage, update, and maintain weekly application status reports as directed by Johnson Controls
• Support creation and maintenance of the Application Data Book, validating accuracy and completeness with functional and business leaders
• Identify TSA (Transition Services Agreement) dispositions and collaborate with IT Procurement to ensure TSA rights are secured
• Manage and support Day 1 separation projects and post-separation activities
• Understand and support IT TSA terms, conditions, and post-close governance related to application separation
• Lead and manage TSA Exit projects to ensure timely and successful exit
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external meetings, including status reviews and project checkpoints
• Collaborate closely with Application Tower Project Managers, Business Analysts, and IT Deal Team Leads
Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong experience in M&A IT projects, specifically application separation and transition
• Familiarity with various application technologies and enterprise application landscapes
• Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
• Proven ability to manage multiple work streams under aggressive timelines
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
