Project Manager for Custom B2B E-commerce Platform with AI-Ready 3D Designer - Contract to Hire

We are a company in the custom sportswear industry, producing personalized apparel for sports teams, clubs, and event organizers. We work with B2B clients, delivering made-to-order gear tailored to their branding and needs We’re developing a custom B2B/B2B2C e-commerce platform that will enable - Secure client logins, where each client sees only their personalized product catalog and pricing (with tiered discounts) - A workflow for product design approvals based on our internal design process - Tools for clients to launch their own storefronts within our platform (on our domain or their subdomain), for resale to their group members - End customers place individual orders, which are produced on demand and fulfilled directly to each recipient We currently use a third-party 3D customization tool, which allows clients to design apparel on interactive 3D models We now want to rebuild this tool as our ownThe concept and functional logic are proven, but we need a fresh implementation we fully control and can extend A key strategic goal is to expand this tool with AI capabilities — enabling users to generate apparel designs via text prompts (for example: "red cycling jersey with abstract wave patterns and black sleeves"), alongside standard manual customization We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the entire implementation You will be responsible for - Working with us to define technical and business requirements - Creating a project budget and realistic timeline for the entire build - Selecting the right technical foundation for the e-commerce platform (we are open to your recommendation) - Building the delivery team — sourcing and managing freelancers or contractors across frontend, backend, 3D, and AI as needed - Coordinating the full delivery workflow: platform setup, 3D tool rebuild, integrations, QA, testing, and go-live - Managing remote contributors, sprint planning, documentation, backlog grooming, and UAT support - Reporting on risks, scope, and bolthires throughout the project You might be a great fit if you have - Experience delivering custom e-commerce or digital product platforms - A background in on-demand production flows and multi-store environments - Skills in managing tools with 3D/interactive UX or AI-generated content - A structured and clear communication style, with leadership experience in remote teams - Confidence in budgeting, resource planning, and hands-on coordination We’re ready to begin planning immediatelyRemote only We are open to hourly or fixed-price arrangements depending on fit Please share your availability, preferred working model, and examples of relevant project experience Apply tot his job
