Project Manager (Federal Contract Support)

Position Summary The Project Manager serves as the contractor’s Contract Manager and is the primary authorized interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), government management personnel, and customer agency representatives. This role is responsible for overall contract performance and may not serve in any other capacity. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, contact our HR Director (April Hawkins) at 269-927-0144 or [email protected] Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and management of contract performance, ensuring all requirements are successfully delivered Formulate and enforce work standards, assign schedules, review discrepancies, and supervise contractor personnel Communicate organizational policies, goals, and objectives to team members Manage and ensure successful execution of multiple technical tasks across assigned programs Support financial and performance audits, ensuring timely and effective resolution of Office of Inspector General (OIG) and Government Accountability Office (GAO) recommendations Assist in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Internal Controls (IA) activities across all bureaus and offices Coordinate audit-related activities to support statutory management accountability requirements Provide guidance across the full project management lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics Advise on strategies, risks, cost considerations, and process improvements Produce reports, briefings, presentations, and other project artifacts Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to support project execution Assist in establishing and managing projects, ensuring alignment with government objectives Develop and implement communication strategies using tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Tableau Prepare decision-support documentation for both formal and informal government processes Analyze program requirements, track progress, and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency Support resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommendations Ensure projects are effectively planned, staffed, executed, and maintained across the enterprise Participate in technical working groups, program management reviews, and stakeholder meetings Assist in the development of memos, reports, case studies, and other documentation Conduct research and provide recommendations to support program offices and leadership Education, Experience, and Technical Skills Required Education, Experience, and Technical Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent Demonstrated experience providing project management services to a federal agency Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license Working Environment This position primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate-controlled environment. While in the office, there is no regular exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery. This role also requires periodic travel to project sites, including locations undergoing renovation or active construction. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to non-temperature-controlled environments, construction noise, dust, and other typical conditions found on job sites. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during these visits, depending on site conditions. While on site visits, an individual in this role will be required to work typical hours at the request of the client or role demands. Physical Demands Sitting/Standing: This is a sedentary role most of the time. However, during field work this role requires the ability to be on your feet moving around a field location for most of the day. Walking: This role requires the ability to move about outside in various geographic and building terrains to do field work. Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: This role may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and ladder climbing as part of field work / verification activities. Using Hands/Fingers: This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines. Talking/Hearing: This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information. Seeing: This role requires the ability to see, view, and distinguish all aspects of construction to ensure quality control. Carrying/Lifting: This role requires lifting up to 30 lbs to transport technological office equipment, safety equipment, and other needed construction items to and from various workspaces.
