POSITION PURPOSE:
This is a paid temporary, non-exempt position that will be reporting to the Director of Finance. with support and oversight the Project Finance Intern will perform research and financial analysis. the Project Finance Intern will collaborate on such efforts with various departments, including Commercial, Development, and Acquisition & Divestitures. The ideal candidate will be deeply interested in energy project finance, power markets, capital markets, and addressing the challenges of grid intermittency through deployment of standalone battery storage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop foundational energy project finance modeling skills by learning how core drivers of BESS project economics are modelled and impact returns.
• Work closely with Project Finance team and engage other departments on cross-functional modeling initiatives, including early-stage development models, commercial pricing models, and M&A valuation activities.
• Perform ad-hoc research tasks in support of finance team.
• Present findings to finance team members in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Support creation of internal and external presentation materials.
• All other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
• Pursuing degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering.
• Prior financial modeling experience and demonstrate interest in energy markets is highly valued.
• Should be eager to learn and motivated by creating a more resilient and cleaner grid.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple, high-stakes projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a small team.
