Location: Remote with 90 - 100% Travel

About the Role
The Project Director of Clinical Services will be supporting and traveling to Acadia facilities around the country to provide clinical leadership. The Project DCS at facilities that have a vacancy and/or will provide periodic extended onsite support to an interim leader and will help to facilitate a smooth transition once a permanent clinical leader is hired.
This role is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and supervising the effective and efficient use of the operations of clinical services, other departments and the delivery of behavioral health/nursing services in a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
The Project DCS will supervise the clinical team and will collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve. Provide leadership to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as clinical best practices. Recognizes that patient safety is a top priority.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Travel is anticipated to be 90-100% including some over the weekend stays and will vary on facility needs
Sets the vision for clinical practice in the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable and patient centered care
Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocates resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed
Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety
Serve as a member of the leadership team and on committees as required.
Manage the daily operations of clinical services
Ensure clinical services are provided in compliance with the laws and regulations of federal, state and local governmental agencies. Standards are met for accrediting agencies
Integrate clinical functions with clinical and programs, ensuring efficient and effective operations
Provide effective and efficient budget management that ensures the best utilization of resources
Evaluate service needs and staffing requirements to ensure needs of patients are met
Provide effective staff management (hiring, development, training, performance feedback, etc.) that ensures utilization of personnel to best meet the needs of the patients
Develop and implement health care-related training that assures the best possible delivery of health-related supports and services. Review training at least annually and makes modifications as needed
Develop and maintain documentation systems for continuity of care and record storage that assures compliance with local, state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures
Monitor unit/floor functioning by making frequent rounds
Intervene in crisis situations and investigate incidents
Develop and implement tools to measure, assess and improve quality of clinical care, treatment and service
Actively participate in strategic planning and budget development
Oversee clinical services documentation to ensure it meets all standards
Assists with direct care as needed, including running groups and providing individual therapy
Standard Expectations
Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality
Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time
Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
At least a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or family/marriage therapy REQUIRED
Six (6) or more years clinical experience and previous experience with the population of the facility preferred
Five (5) or more years’ experience at the Director of Clinical Services level
Independent license is REQUIRED (LICSW, etc.)
Licenses/Designations/Certifications
Current state license is active and in good standing
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
First aid may be required based on state or facility
