The incumbent oversees, directs, and/or coordinates administrative, financial, personnel, and general business operations for the department and provides technical assistance and support to identify the needs and available resources related to the projects. This position manages activities related to a federal grant digitizing and transcribing audiovisual materials in the Department of Archives and Special Collections, University of Mississippi Libraries. The incumbent coordinates and participates in the requirements of a federal grant. Examples of Work Performed Plans, develops, and executes programs, projects, and other tasks to fulfill requirements of a federal grant. With direction from the Principal Investigator, coordinates, submits, and monitors reports for a federal grant. Helps properly pack and send audiovisual materials to vendors for digitization and transcription. Checks returned items for quality control and routes digital files to proper staff. Ensures compliance with grant requirements. Supervises work of two graduate assistants Communicates with vendors. Prepares and submits appropriate reports. Attends periodic meetings. Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required. Essential Functions These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department. * Manages and coordinates the daily activities of departmental projects. Researches and identifies needs and resources for projects. Assists with designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating efforts for reports and/or proposals. Prepares reports and other documentation. Serves as point of contact for assigned projects. Minimum Education/Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. AND Experience: Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties. Licensure: Incumbent must have a valid driver's license. (Requirement for Academic Support Center, Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Graduate School) Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
