As a Program Manager - Sustainability, you will be responsible for managing our investments in carbon credits and renewable energy, working closely with senior colleagues to drive our sustainability efforts forward.
About the Role:
In this exciting and challenging role, you will be responsible for:
Managing our portfolio of carbon credits and renewable energy investments
Negotiating purchase agreements with project developers and vendors
Reviewing the quality of carbon credits against our screening criteria
Supporting renewable energy purchases, from annual EAC buys to project-specific investment opportunities
Collaborating with finance teams to lead project-level financial analysis
Tracking and maintaining data on our annual greenhouse gas emissions and reductions
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
4+ years of experience in carbon credit procurement
2+ years of experience in renewable energy procurement
2+ years of experience in purchasing, negotiating, and executing deals in carbon credits and/or renewable energy
Experience working with the carbon credit and renewable energy networks (alliances, research groups, policymakers, vendors, third-party certifiers, etc.)
Proven expertise with third-party standards ensuring additionality, permanence, non-leakage, conservative baselines, and no double counting
