Key Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership and direction for the General Surgery Residency Program
Develop and implement innovative curriculum designs, instructional materials, and assessment strategies
Mentor and advise residents, providing guidance on their academic and professional development
Collaborate with faculty and staff to foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and belonging
Contribute to the growth and development of the College of Medicine, including participation in strategic planning and community engagement initiatives

Requirements:
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution, with credentials that merit appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher
Significant teaching experience and demonstrated teaching excellence, with a focus on general surgery and its sub-specialties
Florida medical license or eligibility for Florida licensure, with active or eligible American Board of General Surgery (ABMS) board certification in General Surgery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, residents, faculty, and staff
