CNN Program & Content Strategy Intern: NYC - Summer 2025

Your New Role
This internship will be located in the NYC area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.The CNN Program & Content Strategy department is responsible for the development and execution of CNN's multi-platform strategy. This includes work related to daily news programs and special events and CNN Original Series. This team sees the content travel through an entire life-cycle, from development to broadcast and everything in between.
Your Role Accountabilities
Provide support to linear programming and scheduling, talent and nonlinear areas of the business.
Researching and tracking the competitive landscape on a weekly basis.
Auditing external listings and platforms.
Updating databases and documents with internal program information.
Assisting in updating and checking program listings, and more.
Qualifications & Experience
Passionate about news
Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and have a good attitude
Able to function well in fast paced, high volume environment
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.

Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. What to know before applying:
The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.
Program date options:
Option 1: June 2nd - August 15th
Option 2: June 9th - August 22nd
Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
