Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to students in various mathematics disciplines, including intermediate algebra, calculus, matrices, differential equations, and statistics. Work with students on an appointment or drop-in basis, adapting to their needs and learning styles. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the mathematics curriculum to provide effective support. Foster a student-centered and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic success and confidence. Collaborate with faculty and other support staff to identify areas where students need additional support. Utilize technology and online resources to enhance tutoring services and reach students in remote or virtual settings. Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., mathematics, physics, engineering, or computer science). Completed postsecondary coursework in calculus, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics. Experience teaching or tutoring mathematics, preferably in a higher education setting. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of academic preparation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Graduate coursework in a STEM-related field. Completed postsecondary coursework in matrices and differential equations. Completed postsecondary coursework in physics and chemistry. Experience teaching or tutoring in higher education.
