Job Description: Production Manager ? Fiberglass Fabrication Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations in our fiberglass fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, leadership, and production planning, with specific knowledge of fiberglass materials and processes. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage production schedules, optimize workflows, ensure quality standards, and maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities to meet deadlines. o Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality. o Troubleshoot issues on the production floor, such as delays, equipment breakdowns, or material shortages.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor production staff to maintain high performance and morale. o Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure proper staffing. o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
3. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards. o Conduct inspections of finished fiberglass products and address any defects promptly.
4. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards) and maintain a safe working environment. o Conduct safety training and enforce proper handling of chemicals, resins, and equipment.
5. Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for process improvement to reduce costs, minimize waste, and increase output. o Manage production budgets, material usage, and inventory. Collaborate with procurement and maintenance teams to optimize resources.
6. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates on production progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management. Maintain accurate records of production metrics, safety incidents, and quality issues. Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or production management role.
Experience with fiberglass fabrication or composite materials is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with fiberglass processes: molding, resin systems, lamination, curing, finishing, and safety protocols. o Knowledge of production equipment, including CNC machines, spray booths, and tools used in fabrication.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a production setting. o Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Experience managing production teams of various skill levels, including fabricators, machine operators, and quality control staff. Lead by example.
Ability to inspire and motivate teams to hit production targets while maintaining quality and morale. ?
Other Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, suppliers, and senior management. o Proficiency in production software, inventory management systems, or scheduling tools (a plus).

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
