Product Owner, AI-Augmented Delivery (Remote)
Job Summary:
The Product Owner is a key liaison between market needs and delivery of a solution. In this role, the Product Owner owns the backlog end-to-end-writing clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborating with engineering and UX, and leveraging AI tools to work efficiently at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ā¢ Independently manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the team always works on the highest-impact work
ā¢ Author well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Rovo) to produce and refine backlog artifacts efficiently and at scale
ā¢ Design and maintain reusable prompt templates for recurring PO tasks - story generation, acceptance criteria drafting, refinement prep - so AI-assisted output is consistent and team-ready
ā¢ Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
ā¢ Confirm that executed stories comply with Neumo's Definition of Done
ā¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product releases
ā¢ Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate requirements into actionable backlog items
ā¢ Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and drive continuous improvement
ā¢ Ensure product decisions align with user needs, business goals, and technical capabilities
ā¢ Work closely with senior leadership to inform product strategy and provide updates on product progress and milestones
ā¢ Monitor and report on product performance, quality, and usage metrics
ā¢ Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
ā¢ 3+ years' experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; preferably in Product Owner or Business Analyst role
ā¢ Public sector software or familiarity with judicial systems is a strong differentiator
ā¢ Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Figma; experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Copilot) to accelerate story creation and analysis;
ā¢ Familiarity with technical concepts including APIs, middleware, services, and SQL
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
ā¢ Proficiency in prompt engineering as applied to product work - structuring context-rich, role-specific prompts that generate well-formed epics, stories, and acceptance criteria, and iterating on prompts to achieve alignment with Definition of Ready/Done
ā¢ Strong written communication skills and client presence; able to translate effectively between technical and business audiences
ā¢ Ability to create epics, user stories, user journeys, wireframes, and basic diagrams to convey ideas
ā¢ Able to juggle multiple competing priorities
ā¢ Ability to persuade, encourage and motivate others to beat deadlines
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
ā¢ Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
ā¢ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
ā¢ This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
ā¢ The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
