Product Manager, Private Wealth Management

About This Position As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in delivering superior next-generation experiences for our Private Wealth Management offering. You have a passion for product management, emerging technology, fintech, impact investing, analytics and delighting the client throughout the entire customer experience. In this role, you will support products from the initial discovery phase through the final delivery phase in an innovative and flexible way. We follow agile methodologies and day-to-day you will work closely with engineering, product design, investments, operations, and marketing to craft simple and impactful digital experiences. You must be a strong leader, strategic thinker, and excellent communicator. Being able to communicate your vision and strategy to your team in a clear and concise way is a must. You are a team player and work well with others. This position is a remote position, and will report to the Director of Product Management. Responsibilities You will: • Curate the strategy and product roadmap for Ellevest’s Private Wealth digital offering (Ex: impact reporting, donor advised fund strategy, robust accounting, custodial and monitoring systems of investments) • Exercise product ownership: write and prioritize user stories; groom product backlog, triage and prioritize; coordinate a cross-functional team; define scope of development for new product features and on-going feature enhancements • Work collaboratively with design, engineering, data & analytics and marketing to prioritize features and ship products across the full product lifecycle (from idea, research, design, specification, metrics definition, development, launch and interaction) • Cultivate an intimate understanding of the client/target audience for the Private Wealth offering • Build and maintain a relationship with the Client Services team and the Financial Advisors as they are first in line for understanding and interacting with our Private Wealth clients • Coordinate with stakeholders (including the investments, compliance, operations and financial advisors) on new product/platform launches to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall user experience • Perform third party research and lead the execution of the integration • Apply an analytical mindset in order to break down complex problems and effectively use data and analytics layered against high-quality user research to inform the direction of the product • Run various types of research (Ex: market insights, industry trends; client feedback, user research, etc.) and business analysis to assess opportunities and risks • Track progress, assess risk and trade offs, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency plans for the team Communicate across the organization regarding the status of projects in development, as well as post-launch results Requirements You have: • 3+ years of product management experience. Experience working with wealth management or in a similar domain is a plus • A proven track record of launching and iterating on successful products • Ability to empathize with the member at all times and find ways to delight the client throughout the entire experience • An interest in investing, alternatives, growing an individual's wealth through reducing costs, taxes, and risk through diversification, and not through market timing or chasing alpha • A goal-oriented mindset and eagerness to execute • A keen ability to understand and articulate priorities and make the right trade offs when necessary • Ability to identify a problem and determine potential solutions that you can bring to your team or manager • Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills • A strong commitment to company values and the Ellevest brand Do you think you could thrive in this role?
