Product Filing Specialist

The Product Filing Specialist role involves drafting annuity contract language, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with various departments to facilitate product approvals.ResponsibilitiesLearning all functional aspects of the teamGaining an understanding of filing requirements to enable preparation of filing strategies and comprehensive estimates; performing research related to filings in order to ensure applicable requirements are being met; ensuring that forms are compliant and all supporting documentation is identified and completed appropriately before submittingCoordinating with direct team management, Contract Analysts and Implementation Specialists to ensure all forms are installed in administrative systems as approved and in accordance with product specificationsCollaborating with business partners to ensure filings and forms are compliant and meet business needsSubmitting contract forms to insurance departments using an electronic filing system and working with insurance regulators to obtain product approval in a timely mannerProviding research, documentation, and communications about regulatory requirementsDeveloping and maintaining reference materials related to filing requirements, experience, approvals, and other topics as needed to support the businessSupporting the business on regulatory audits and examinationsSkillsExperience in the life insurance, annuity, or financial services industry preferably supporting regulatory, compliance, legal, operational and/or contract filing areasBachelor's degree or work equivalentMust know Microsoft suite of products with demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, and ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsImpeccable attention to detail, organization skills, and follow-up skillsStrong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills – ability to understand impacts of simple to complex conceptsDemonstrated ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines; excellent time management skills requiredAbility to work proactively and self-sufficiently on assigned tasksCapable of working independently and/or as part of a teamBenefitsHealth and Wellness: We offer a range of medical, dental and vision insurance plans, as well as mental health support and wellness initiatives to promote overall well-being.Retirement Savings: We offer retirement benefits options, which vary by location.
