Company:MarshDescription:We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Portfolio Solutions team. This role can be based out of our London, Manchester or Norwich office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least 3 days a week in the office.The role: Product Development & Policy Wordings SpecialistAre you a Policy Wordings Specialist or an experienced Insurance Advisor, Underwriter or Claims Handler with broad technical knowledge of the major lines of business? Do you have experience of interpreting and/or negotiating terms and policy wordings?If so, we are seeking someone who can combine these technical skills in order to help the Marsh Portfolio Solution team create and maintain enhanced solutions for clients. The successful candidate will work within a highly skilled team to develop products with insurers, negotiate and advise on carrier and broker wordings, provide technical input into our tender processes, be responsible for the provision of technical support to Marsh colleagues on cover related issues and assist in providing training both internally and externallyWe will rely on you to:Fully understand insurer’s wordings within areas of expertise & summarise for communication to the businessWork with Product Managers to undertake discussions with insurers to agree improvements to their facility and panel policy wordings for the benefit of Marsh clientsEnsure that wording comparisons are kept up to date including reviews of insurers’ new wordingsEnsure that key benefits documents and high-level comparison documents are kept up to date in line with the wording comparisonResearch, clarify & communicate on technical insurance issues & developmentsProvide contributions to technical newsletters & other Marsh publications, and assist other team members to do sameProvide advice on ad hoc basis on client-related & cover issuesEscalate issues to Product Managers on specific facilities & panels for them to discuss with insurer counterpartsDevelop and maintain quality relationships with key insurers and gain an in-depth understanding of the offering to the UK Corporate PracticeWhat you need to have: Proven experience within the insurance industry ideally with knowledge of Property, Casualty, Motor and PA/Travel policiesThrives in a fast-paced environmentClaims, Underwriting, loss adjuster or technical background desirablePrevious experience of providing technical policy wording support would be beneficialStrong written & verbal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and an ability to innovateCompetent in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)What makes you stand out:Knowledge of Property, Casualty, MotorThe ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when requiredCert CII qualified and working towards ACII is desirableWhy join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.#hybridMarsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world’s top insurance broker and risk advisor.
