As a Product Designer I, you will improve user experience for insurance providers and consumers by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify design problems and create user-centered solutions.ResponsibilitiesEngage in product definition discussions with Product Managers and Product Owners in order to identify user needsParticipate in research including user interviews, user discovery, concept validation, and usability testingDocument and socialize usability findings with cross-functional teamsTranslate research findings and recommendations into insights and evidence-based wireframes, presentations, and ux documentsPartner with team members in developing and evolving the visual language, interaction patterns and design system for Vertafore’s products and platforms, incorporating Vertafore’s brand and voicePartner with designers to facilitate design thinking workshops with users and internal teams to identify problemsPartner with designers to create reusable, scalable visual design assets that fit into a greater pattern library and are consumable by developers and engineersBuild amicable, productive, trusting relationships with partner teamsParticipate in design reviews, learning from other product designersPresent concepts, wireframes, data insights and prototypes to users and internal teamsSkillsYou have 1+ years of professional experience in a software or agency setting or comparable education/work experienceYou have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and data driven design strategiesYou have experience in user research fundamentals such as user interviews, data analyzation, and usability surveysYou have experience in working in an agile development processYou have experience with design systems and interaction patternsYou are a collaborator across teams, including Product Design, and DevelopmentYou have a compelling portfolio that showcases your problem framing, research, problem solving, and visualization skillsYou have experience in UX and design collaboration tools like Figma, Sketch, Miro, Adobe XD, etcBenefitsBonusCompany OverviewVertafore offers software and essential information to address business challenges within the insurance industry.
