We're seeking a stellar writer with deep experience covering procurement, procurement software, accounts payable, finance automation, and B2B software tools like Order.co, Coupa, Tipalti, Airbase, and others. The application passcode is smarter procurement spend.*Please note that we don’t work with writers who subcontract their work.Responsibilities:Create blog content (and potentially other types of marketing content) that appeals to:Finance and accounting leaders, including controllers, AP managers, and CFOs—covering topics like invoice automation, PO processes, spend visibility, and approval workflowsProcurement and operations professionals, focusing on supplier management, purchasing workflows, compliance, and centralized procurement systemsMid-market and enterprise buyers, helping them evaluate B2B finance tools, navigate implementation decisions, and connect modern software to measurable ROITranslating complex procurement and finance software topics (e.g., three-way matching, AP automation, invoice reconciliation, indirect spend controls) into engaging, accessible contentStaying up to date on trends in procurement tech, AP automation, and finance operationsUse the company's brand voice and messaging for written piecesQA content for factual accuracy, readability, and compliance with editorial guidelinesEnsure projects are completed on time and meet quality standardsManage complex information and multiple projects within content specifications and budget restrictionsJob Qualifications and Technical Skill Sets:2+ years of experience writing about B2B finance or procurement software (e.g., tools like Order.co, Tipalti, Coupa, BILL, etc.).A strong understanding of how modern accounting and procurement teams work—especially AP processes, invoice management, and budgeting workflows.Experience writing for both technical (finance pros) and non-technical (ops or procurement leads) audiences.Ability to independently research and simplify technical topics like approval routing, vendor consolidation, or invoice reconciliation.Experience interviewing subject matter experts. You’re comfortable independently conducting SME interviews to add industry opinion and narrative to your content. You know how to draft insightful questions to extract key information and structure compelling narratives around SME responses.Hands-on or in-house experience with procurement, AP, or finance ops.Familiarity with terms and workflows like indirect spend, pre-accounting, net terms, purchase requests, and spend controls.Background working with finance SaaS, ERP systems, or payment platforms.Time management and organizational skills. You always meet your deadlines—or communicate in advance when you may need a deadline pushed back. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and healthy analytical and critical thinking skills. You turn procurement concepts into compelling narratives. You’re skilled at finding the story within complicated topics and can capture our client’s brand voice in every piece of writing.SEO experience. You’re not new to marketing and understand the various considerations that inform a piece of SEO content. You know how to search-optimize your content without sacrificing quality, and can balance the needs of both your client and reader. Positive attitude. You’re kind, passionate, curious, and friendly! You’re open to exploring new ideas, stay updated on trending topics in the procurement space, and feel passionately about crafting excellent content. You welcome feedback and love learning how to improve your craft. PortfolioPlease submit 3–5 published writing samples.
