The UnitedHealth Group (UHG) Privacy Consultant will be responsible for managing key functions of the UHG Enterprise Privacy Office (EPO) privacy program, including privacy policies, privacy training, privacy communications and awareness, and privacy sustainability planning.

The primary responsibilities of the Consultant within the EPO include:
• Developing, maintaining, and implementing corporate Privacy policies and related procedures, with additional administrative responsibility for policy management, updates, and the policy exception process
• Creating and implementing enterprise-wide, role-based, and targeted Privacy trainings, including identifying risk-based Privacy content and corresponding training solutions;
• Contributing to and executing the Enterprise Privacy Office Communications and Visibility plan, which includes disseminating Privacy awareness content in a variety of forums within the company
• Reporting on the state of and improvements to the Privacy Program, as well as matters of Privacy risk – both avoidance and remediation – to executive leadership
• Reporting on the state of the Privacy Program and internal controls by providing evidence and responses to external requestors, such as clients and third-party auditors
• Assisting with the design and execution of metric-based Privacy data reporting; and
• Managing the Privacy sustainability plan by administering quarterly updates as well as the annual Business Continuity test

Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience and knowledge in two or more of the following:
• Knowledge of various privacy frameworks, standards, and regulations, including HIPAA and healthcare privacy knowledge
• Privacy Program including policies and procedures, training and communications, governance, strategy
• Process improvement or project/program management
• Proven solid communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to executive leadership, key stakeholders, privacy colleagues, compliance/legal partners, and the business
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and develop training related to privacy risks
• Proven solid team player with excellent people skills; ability to operate independently but also collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proven detail oriented with a focus on quality, customer service, and positive relationships
• Proven sought out as an expert

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) or other certification
• Program management or process improvement experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics background
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint background

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
