Priority Health Medicare Quality Pharmacy Intern

They are seeking a Pharmacy Intern to engage with Medicare members, improve medication adherence, and support quality measures under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities Utilize motivational interviewing skills to identify and address barriers to medication adherence Educate members on disease state and medication Educate members on Medicare Part D benefits and drug coverage to increase understanding and improve member experience Coordinate with other health plan staff to improve health outcomes. This may include, but is not limited to, identifying and addressing Social Determinants of Health Engage with providers and pharmacies Identify and recommend operational improvements Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with internal partners on organizational goals Prepare and deliver presentation on pharmacy related topics Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with members and providers Perform other duties assigned by the Manager of Medicare Quality or preceptor Skills Currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy Michigan Pharmacist intern license Must be able to attend onsite meetings with leadership and/or a Health Fair on occasion 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience 1 year of community pharmacy experience Entering third year of pharmacy school August 2026 Experience with motivational interviewing techniques and open-ended questions Benefits Comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
