Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Principal/Sr Principal Data Engineer to join our Digital Strategy & Analytics team. This position is located in Melbourne, Florida.

We are looking for a passionate Principal/Sr Principal Data Engineer to design and develop automated, end-to-end, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines and Data Analytics/Visualization solutions from disparate data sources.
You will share in the ownership of the technical vision and direction for advanced analytics systems that change the way we see and use data. We are looking for people who are self-motivated, hardworking, and have demonstrated the ability to find innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
Job Responsibilities
? Design, develop, and maintain scalable Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines utilizing Python and SQL.
? Design, develop, and maintain automated data visualizations in Tableau.
? Data preparation/cleaning, integration, and automation from heterogeneous sources.
? Ensure data integrity and system availability.
? Identify, evaluate, and recommend core technologies and strategies.
? Monitor and optimize system performance.
? Decomposition of user requirements into logical functions/components.
This position can be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications For Principal Data Engineer
? Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with at least 5 years of experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with at least 3 years of experience.
? 2 years of experience working with ETL techniques and frameworks.
? Experience with integration of data from multiple sources.
? Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Python and SQL.
? Experience developing and deploying automated data visualizations with Tableau.
? Experience with Agile Software Development.
? Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Basic Qualifications For Sr Principal Data Engineer

Salary Range: $95,300 - $142,900
Salary Range 2: $118,600 - $178,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
