The Amazon Ads Shopper Experience team innovates and designs on behalf of our customers. We are relentlessly focused on improving how customers experience ads globally. We are seeking a Principal UX Designer to help lead, define, and enhance the end-to-end customer experience (CX). Amazon Ads UX team members collaborate with global product, marketing, branding, science, and technology teams to deliver compelling customer experiences across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
• Analyze customer problems and oversee the design of delightful and intuitive solutions that achieve measurable business goals
• Mentor designers and serve as a quality bar-raiser for the team
• Drive standardization of design systems and visual languages across organizations and verticals while educating team members
• Partner closely with product and business partners to develop shared visions and lead the process of designing experiences that deliver on shared objectives
• Partner with technology teams to leverage the scale offered by our platform while maintaining core experience principles
• Present design solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership for review, feedback, and approval
• Evaluate and measure the impact and effectiveness of UX innovations

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of professional design experience
• Proven experience designing user interfaces across web, mobile, and native applications
• Experience owning end-to-end product design for large-scale, complex products

Preferred Qualifications
• 12+ years of professional UX/UI design experience
• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
• Skill in developing rapid UI prototypes
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
• Experience working with retail, technology development, and device partners
• Experience in implementing accessible and inclusive design principles
• Strong skills in both working with and presenting to executive leaders
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
• Experience driving, maintaining, and mechanizing collaboration across teams with divergent needs/goals
• Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design solutions for complex products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
