As a Principal Product Manager - Tech, you will lead new, large product initiatives to define the long-term strategy and vision to meet emerging customer needs. You will handle complex product development and business management scenarios, proactively identifying gaps/opportunities to then develop a suite of products to solve the problems.The ideal candidate has a strong logistics/supply chain and product management background combined with a solid understanding of current technologies (e.g. AI, APIs, mobile development). S/he can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but also roll up their sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, ability to influence cross-functional and remote teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset with strong analytical skills are essential. This opportunity requires excellent product management, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity.Key job responsibilities

Define a data-driven product vision, detailed requirements, and prioritize competing opportunities.
Work directly with engineering to build exceptional products.
Partner with other teams across Amazon Product and Tech to identify and influence development of new products and services.
Understand customer (external and internal) needs, define clear project plans and execute to high expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple locations, working with business, operations, tech and BI teams to define and deliver solutions.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs to balance business needs versus technical or operational constraints.
Collaborate with global stakeholders in other regions to define requirements that support international use cases.
Define user stories and product requirements; while contributing to the technical design of new product features.
About 10% travel required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definitions.
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
