Job Overview We are seeking an exceptional Principal Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and agile engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Managers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, QA Engineers, and our Customer Success team, to design, develop, test, and deploy impactful solutions that cater to businesses of all sizes. Your expertise will be instrumental in building services and infrastructure for our system, improving performance, scalability, and reliability, and contributing to the foundation of our engineering team. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet the needs of businesses of all sizes Lead initiatives to build services and infrastructure for our system, improve performance, scale, and reliability Contribute to the foundation of our engineering team, ensuring our code is up-to-date with best practices and championing the delivery of well-tested and well-organized code Drive positive change to Sora's engineering culture, processes, and technology Engage closely with cross-functional teams across ADP, contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 12+ years of professional experience in modern web development and cloud technologies, with substantial experience in DevOps, infrastructure, and CI/CD Strong proficiency in NodeJS, React (or similar modern front-end framework), Postgres, and AWS (EC2, SQS, SES) or similar cloud experience Substantial experience scaling distributed systems, database architecture, observability, security/vulnerability reduction, and message queuing Significant experience writing technical plans/proposals, completing Proofs of Concept, making and defending recommendations on technical direction/strategy, and leading multiple simultaneous technical projects Preferred Qualifications Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git Strong understanding of cloud-based HR technology solutions and their applications Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Proven track record of driving positive change and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence Skills and Competencies Strong technical expertise in modern web development and cloud technologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to drive positive change and promote a culture of innovation and excellence Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to junior developers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Sora and ADP, we are committed to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $102,100.00 - $273,150.00 per year, depending on experience and location.
