About the Role As a Principal Experience Designer and Service Designer, you will be responsible for envisioning, creating, and maintaining end-to-end customer experiences for various consumer-facing products and services. You will blend strategic thinking, design expertise, and leadership skills to create strategies and processes that benefit the user and drive successful business outcomes. You will partner with cross-functional teams across the company to design and implement innovative solutions that delight customers and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Actively explore user context and engage in target user activities to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors Participate in insight-gathering activities and create design solutions that leverage user insights to drive business outcomes Stay updated on the company's business, strategy, and organizational structure to ensure design solutions align with business goals Effectively design solutions within the company's business context and revenue model, taking into account front-end and back-end technology constraints and capabilities Communicate the current project plan, goals, and expected outcomes to stakeholders and present work in a clear and compelling manner Provide mentorship in areas of expertise and ramp up new team members, with a focus on craft and process Identify project needs and engage stakeholders in conversation to fully understand needs and expectations Lead a cross-disciplinary team, including agency partners, in problem-solving and design activities, and establish best practices to shape design solutions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience Eight or more years of relevant experience in experience design, service design, or a related field, demonstrated through work experience, military experience, or specialized training Experience with Agile software delivery environments and common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.) Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field Portfolio of professional work that demonstrates expertise in experience design and service design Experience with Service Design and blueprinting, omni-channel research, and digital product design in a retail environment Contributed to multiple design programs or shipped products with a large user base, and contributed to overall product success Experience working in Fortune 500 organizational environments Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business goals and user needs Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively with stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality design standards Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
