We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a PrincipalEngineer - Android remotely or in Logan, UT.ROLE COMMITMENTS Define and drive long-term technical vision, aligning mobile architecture and tooling with company-wide goals and product strategyDrive alignment across engineering, product, and design to deliver seamless, technically sound user experiences across the connected fitness ecosystemIdentify and de-risk systemic challenges through deep technical insight, proactive planning, and close collaboration with leadership in product, design, and hardwareDrive engineering excellence at scale by establishing and evolving best practices, design patterns, and standards that guide how all teams build high-quality mobile applicationsMentor and influence senior technical leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement across the engineering orgESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDefine the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of high-quality, scalable, and reliable Android applications that meet business requirementsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to Junior, Mid-level, and Senior Android DevelopersCollaborate with product, QA, and R&D teams to ensure intuitive and responsive user experiencesWork with the Vice President of Client Engineering, Directors of Mobile Engineering, and other team members to establish technical direction and best practices for Android developmentStay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Android developmentFoster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvementRepresent iFIT in technical discussions and conferencesQualificationsEducation and Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field10+ years of experience in Android developmentDeep knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design patternsExpertise in Android development frameworks, APIs, languages, and best practicesExperience with performance profiling and optimization of Android applicationsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skillsSignificant experience in technical leadership and mentorshipExperience with leadership and mentorshipEx.
