Principal Consultant ITIL/ITSM Network Security Operating Model Design and Implementation Expert for Large-Scale Enterprise Environments

To achieve this goal, we are seeking an exceptional Principal Consultant with expertise in ITIL/ITSM and network security operating model design. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team on a 10-week remote project and contribute to the development of an enhanced network security team operating model based on industry standards. Role Overview and Primary Duties As a Principal Consultant ITIL/ITSM Network Security Operating Model Design, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a roadmap and other critical deliverables for our network security team. Your primary duties will include: Collaborating with enterprise teams to develop, align, and enhance an operational framework, including operational standards, roles and responsibilities, service menus, cost models, metric development, and a roadmap. Conducting interviews with customer SMEs inside and outside the job functions to gather insights and requirements. Analyzing and evaluating current operating model and business process dataflows, and developing target state documentation. Designing the future state operating model based on identified requirements and creating future state workflows to drive the target state network security operating model enhancements and roadmap. Identifying a strategy that defines mission/vision, collaboratively defined, and the roles & responsibilities (RACI) for the new model, aligned to industry-leading practices. Developing a network security operating model roadmap as a blueprint for enhancing and evolving the network security operating model, including but not limited to: Service Catalog Management Service Level Management Capacity Management Demand Management Availability Management Supplier Management Service Design & Transition Continuous Improvement Service Reporting and Measurement, including MVP dashboards in ServiceNow Knowledge Management Incident Management Event Management Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: 3-5 years of experience with ITIL v4 and ITSM for end-to-end processes. Hands-on experience developing robust enterprise-level operationalization frameworks. Hands-on experience applying ITIL framework to IT Security operations. Experience in agile and product-based agile frameworks, including DevOps processes. Ability to incorporate industry standards into operationalization frameworks. Experience developing RACI models and Operations Service Menus. Ability to develop cost models aligned to service menus and metrics aligned to SLAs/SLOs and KPIs. Experience designing continuous improvement feedback process controls and automating tasks, especially in a demand intake capacity. Ability to align IT security goals with IT and business goals. IT and/or IT Security Process engineering experience. Experience translating business objectives to implementation priorities. Experience with ServiceNow for implementation of ITSM processes for enterprise business functions. ITIL Certification. Excellent analytical skills and ability to leverage existing documentation. Collaborative team worker, both in person and virtually, using MS Teams or similar tools. Excellent documentation skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work as a liaison between business and information security/information technology. Flexibility to accommodate working across different time zones. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with strong spoken and written English. Business outcomes mindset, with a solid balance of strategic thinking and detail orientation. Self-starter, with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Hands-on experience applying ITIL and ITSM frameworks to business cybersecurity operations. Experience with data mapping and data governance for resource & demand management and forecasting functions for enterprise operations. Education and Certifications The following education and certifications are required: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent training, education, and work experience.
