Principal Cloud Architect, Senior Manager (Remote)
What you will do You will become a trusted advisor working hand-in-hand with our clients, from data owners and analytic users to C-level executives. You will engage in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver cloud-based solutions across a variety of industries. These cases can range from: • Strategic assessment of existing infrastructure and business processes • Designing and architecting deployable cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) • Optimizing cloud-native applications or defining efficient migration plans from on-prem to cloud • Leading and collaborating with customers via workshops and whiteboarding • Developing Infrastructure as Code templates • Evaluating cloud costs (FinOps) to identify opportunities for billing reduction • Auto-scaling data applications • Establishing best practices, tooling, and enablement of DevOps and CI/CD Who we are looking for We are looking for cloud infrastructure rockstars who deeply understand business problems and enjoy solving them. You are a driven self-starter who loves working with people to architect reliable, scalable cloud platforms. You are passionate about contributing to a growing team and establishing best practices. • Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience • Experience with managing stakeholders and collaborating with customers • Strong written and verbal communication skills required • Professional or Expert Certification from at least one cloud platform required • 3+ years developing and tuning innovative solutions on Amazon Web Services (preferred), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • 3+ years working with DevOps CI/CD and agile methodologies • 3+ years working with microservices architectures and containerization solutions • Expertise in networking, encryption, and key management principles for the cloud • Expertise in High Availability and Disaster Recovery subject areas • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies • Experience working with streaming technologies is bonus • Consulting experience preferred • Willingness to travel We are actively considering applicants that are fully remote within the US.
