Principal AWS Engineer

Responsibilities
Serve as primary point of contact for production support, triage, and incident resolution across client systems.
Perform root cause analysis, bug fixing, and ensure long-term stability of applications.
Work across multiple technologies including .NET, Ruby on Rails, and cloud-native systems.
Establish and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
Collaborate with client teams and internal engineers to optimize systems and workflows.
Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and operational support rotations.
Maintain system documentation and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, platforms, and client environments.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, DBA, or ML roles.
2+ years supporting production environments.
Strong troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, and networking layers.
Experience with AWS data engineering tools (ETL, Lambda, ML-related services).
Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Excellent communication skills for client-facing consulting environments.
Nice to Have
Experience in managed services or consulting environments with multiple clients.
Experience modernizing legacy systems for scalability, reliability, or cost optimization.
