Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Primary Tax Support Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a Primary Tax Support Advisor, you will be responsible for providing prompt, professional, and courteous support to the field. You are expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team setting. Everyone will undergo technical tax training during employment. This position has room to become a permanent position as well as the ability to move to our Advanced or Senior Tax Advisor positions.

Responsibilities/Duties
• Delivering tax support services for individual and business tax returns through various communication channels, including inbound and outbound calls and the Liberty Tax ticketing system.
• Conduct comprehensive research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to stay updated on the latest developments and provide accurate information and guidance.
• Tax preparation & tax return reviews based on need.
• Adhere to the policies as documented in the Internal Process Manual.
• Thoroughly and accurately documenting customer issues, along with the relevant information and resolutions, to maintain comprehensive records.
• Promptly communicating high-impact issues to supervisors, ensuring appropriate attention and swift action.
• Need to be able to work nights and weekends as scheduled.
• Ability to de-escalate and work patiently in all interactions, both internally & externally.
• Participation in various department projects and team meetings.

Qualifications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, demonstrating the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience
• 1+ Years Experience in taxation and/or accounting or tax preparation

Physical Requirements

The position involves working primarily at a desk, requiring extended periods of time sitting and performing tasks on a computer or workstation. The use of a communication device, such as a headset, may be necessary for up to eight hours during the workday to engage in effective communication with clients and colleagues. Cameras are required for team meetings.

Work Environment

This position will require the employee to work at one of our corporate offices in Hurst, TX or Virginia Beach, VA or remote.
