Pricing Data Scientist
Job Description:
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from large datasets, building predictive models, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Develop pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
ā¢ Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue growth.
ā¢ Collaborate with immediate and cross-functional teams to develop and refine pricing models. (coaching & sharing, codevelop best practices)
ā¢ Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to optimize pricing.
ā¢ Conduct A/B testing and other experiments/measurements to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing & forecasting strategies.
ā¢ Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
ā¢ Tailoring experiments to fit the business case
ā¢ Qualifications:
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on pricing, revenue management and/or forecasting preferred.
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in data science, economics, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
ā¢ Proficiency in R or Python.
ā¢ Knowledge of SQL. Experience with Redshift, preferably
ā¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
ā¢ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
ā¢ Master's or PhD in data science, economics, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
ā¢ Experience building web applications in Shiny, Dash, Streamlit, or Bokeh
ā¢ Experience with AWS Sagemaker, Posit Workbench/Connect, and/or Databricks.
ā¢ Experience utilizing common CPG data sources (Nielsen, IRI, etc)
