Pricing Analyst - Remote Role - Searchlogic Recruiting - Suwanee, GA - work from home job Company: Searchlogic Recruiting Job description: Immediate need for experienced Pricing Analyst with Supply Chain Demand Planning and Forecasting experience to join a fast growing chemical distribution organization headquartered in Suwanee, Ga. This position will be 100% remote but Eastern Standard Time home location preferred. You will oversee key processes to gather, maintain, and utilize competitive price intelligence for the use in setting prices, price changes, and as an input for responding to specific customer pricing requests. Collaborating with other functions, to analyze trends and mine data to find opportunities for profit and revenue improvements. You will understand the market size, competitors and dynamics of the Chemical Distribution market, and serve as the clearinghouse for such intelligence. Strategic: • Serve as the clearinghouse for market intelligence gathered from primary contact with Suppliers and Customers, Vendors as well as 3rd party research. • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze information from internal and external sources to identify opportunities for gathering competitive intelligence on prices, competition, substitutes and supply • Provide regular analysis of key customer and competitor financials and strategic intent. • Perform competitive price benchmarking against a variety of competitors, identifying product and cost differences. • Utilize analytics to identify product and category pricing opportunities and trends. • Research new information sources as needed. • Serve as the internal expert on competitive pricing, Supplier Analysis: Supplier Health, Feedstocks Analysis Deliverables: • Environmental Scan: What’s happening in our end markets (consumer products, water treatment, mining, construction, Green Chemistry, etc.) • Customer Analysis: What’s happening inside/outside our customers – primary and secondary research • Strategic Analysis and reports to LTM • Product Research • Manage and utilize our subscriptions to various databases of intelligence and Risk Monitoring: Industrial, Trade Data intelligence, Competitive Analysis • Industry Information • Geopolitical Events • Weather Impacts • Supplier Risk • Transport/ Logistic Nodes • Corporate Actions Operational: • Perform Profitability Analysis & Recommendations : feeding LTM metrics on profit expectations, volume expectations and adjustments. • Run Bids in conjunction with Account Owners – own the bidding process. • Assist in managing and maintain Pricing and Cost in our operational systems. • Price/Cost Control, • Manage organization of business contracts, their allocation and expiration. Coordinate with Finance and Operations on ramp-up/down of volume and price changes. • Manage formula-based pricing where it exists Business development Support: o Develop, apply and maintain pricing models for various business models, origins/locations, new product/ business pricing (Deal Review) • Analyze trade flows, market intel as it applies to pursuing and bidding on current and new business. Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or related field, MBA is a plus. • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Demand Planning and Forecasting with Financial/Business Analysis • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel Required. Must be well versed in building Pricing Models to support business decisions. • Industry experience in Consumer Products or Grocery (High Volume Fast Moving Products) is preferred • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to conduct in-depth research and document findings accordingly • Detail oriented and self-motivated with strong organizational skills • Proven ability to summarize data and turn analysis into insights as input for decision makers • Strong analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) with the ability to turn detailed data into useful and actionable information • Understand the financial impact of cost / price decision • Ability to present ideas, conclusions and recommendations with clarity • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Solid public speaking skills; able to present ideas to diverse audiences • POWER BI skills a plus • This can be a remote role from anywhere in the United States Highly competitive benefits including remote work, Group Health Insurance with a annual $2000 HSA funded account, 401 K match, quarterly bonus, Profit Sharing, PTO and more!
