PR Consultant (B2B Enterprise IT / SaaS) – Media Coverage in IT & CIO Publications
We are a European B2B SaaS company operating in the enterprise IT space. Our solution focuses on computer lifecycle management, IT operations, and digital employee experience. We work with mid-market and (smaller) enterprise IT teams across Europe.
We are looking for an experienced PR consultant to help us secure press coverage and thought leadership placements in highly specific IT publications (CIO, enterprise IT operations, MSP/channel).
This is not general startup PR. We need someone who understands enterprise IT audiences and can engage the right journalists with credible, technical angles.
Scope of Work: Your objective is to design and execute a focused PR strategy targeting publications such as:
- CIO.com
- Computerworld
- InfoWorld
- Network World
- Computer Weekly
- TechTarget (SearchCIO, SearchITOperations, etc.)
- CRN / Channel Futures
- Dark Reading
- VentureBeat (Enterprise)
- Selected Nordic / European IT outlets
- etc
Responsibilities include:
- Develop a PR positioning strategy aligned with enterprise IT decision-makers
- Identify and validate relevant journalists/editors within targeted outlets
- Craft compelling media angles (e.g., endpoint lifecycle optimisation, AI tool sprawl governance, hardware cost inflation impact, Secure Boot certificate transition 2026)
- Pitch journalists directly and manage follow-ups
- Secure interviews, contributed articles, expert commentary placements, or data-driven coverage
- Advise on messaging and media readiness
- Report on outreach activity and results
Requirements:
- Proven experience placing B2B SaaS or enterprise IT companies in recognized IT publications
Demonstrable relationships with journalists covering: CIO / IT leadership, Enterprise IT operations. MSP / channel. Cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT topics (endpoint management, security, compliance, AI governance, IT operations)
- Ability to translate technical topics into media-relevant narratives
- Clear, structured communication and professional execution

- Brief explanation of your role in securing those placements
- Relevant journalist relationships you currently maintain (no need to disclose confidential details, but outline category and level of access)

- Secured coverage in at least 2–3 Tier 1 IT publications within the first phase
- Established ongoing journalist relationships
- Created repeatable media positioning in our core topic areas
