Cooperative Energy Incorporated (CEI), a power and natural gas consulting firm located in Marietta, Georgia is seeking a qualified energy professional for the position of Power Scheduler. The main scope of this position is asset management, scheduling, and reporting of our client’s physical and financial transactions in a dynamic 24-hour, 365-day marketplace.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. They are not intended to cover each aspect of the position as the scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of CEDI. The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Scheduling power assets, options, heat rates, and energy products
• Analyze electric and natural gas market conditions; recommend solutions and provide other client services as needed
• Asset management and monthly reconciliation
• Create and analyze price curves
• Identify and manage risk exposure
• Identify and communicate potential short-term and long-term power supply opportunities
• Assist with valuation of client portfolio of energy and related assets utilizing spreadsheets, market fundamentals, and price forecasting techniques

Qualifications:
• Strong technical, financial and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Team player with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline
