Power BI and Dataflows Developer - Media Planning & Analytics Platform
Job Summary: Join Advvy as a Power BI Developer and play a central role in shaping how media planning data is modeled, visualized, and shared. From building Power BI dashboards to creating automated dataflows and Excel-based exports, this role helps bring structure and clarity to the complex world of media data.
About the Role: We’re looking for a Power BI Developer with strong Power Query (M code) skills and practical experience working with media or marketing data. In this fully remote position, you will design and develop advanced Power BI reports, manage Power Platform dataflows, and support our broader data architecture across Power Apps and external systems. Collaborating closely with our implementation and development teams, you will transform raw planning data into valuable insights for media agencies and their clients. Your work will directly support data transformation, integration, and visualization across Advvy’s Power Platform solution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Power BI Development: Design and build reports and dashboards for internal users and client portals. Work closely with planners, operations, and customer success teams to understand reporting needs and optimize existing reports for performance and usability.
• Dataflows & Integration: Create and maintain Power BI dataflows to import and transform campaign and planning data into Power Apps (Dataverse). Export structured data for integration with downstream systems (e.g., billing, analytics) and support scheduled refreshes, incremental loads, and data quality monitoring.
• Power Query Transformation: Use Power Query to clean, reshape, and standardize large datasets. Ensure the consistency of data logic across Excel, Power BI, and Dataverse outputs.
• Excel Reporting (Occasional): Build Excel-based reports and outputs when required, using structured tables and advanced formulas. Help teams structure Excel templates for downstream reporting and syncing.
Ideal Experience:
Essential: 2–5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience. Proficient in Power Query transformation skills, and experienced in building and managing Power BI dataflows. Familiarity with media, marketing, or campaign performance data. Ability to work independently in a remote team, manage deadlines, and collaborate via Teams.
Nice to Have: Familiarity with Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Dataverse. Understanding of media planning data (e.g., TCC, impressions, flighting, booked/actual). Experience building paginated reports or exporting structured datasets to external systems. Experience working with Excel-based media plans and structured data exports.
