Job Description:We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL 9.6 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team.The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience working with PostgreSQL 9.6, including installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.As an SME, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance to our team, ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our PostgreSQL databases. Additionally, you will collaborate with other teams to design and implement database solutions that meet our business needs. Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL 9.6 databases.Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and system errors.Provide expert guidance and support to other team members regarding PostgreSQL 9.6 best practices and techniques.Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions.Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.Perform database migrations and upgrades as necessary.Stay current with PostgreSQL developments and recommend improvements to our database infrastructure. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience working with PostgreSQL 9.6 in a production environment.In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, internals, and administration.Strong SQL and database design skills.Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.PostgreSQL certification(s) is a plus.Familiarity with other database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server is a bonus.
