The National Research Council Canada is seeking a dynamic Postdoctoral Fellow for a two-year term within one of their 12 research centres across Canada. The role involves conducting independent research in any STEM discipline that aligns with NRC's research interests and contributing to scientific breakthroughs and innovation. Responsibilities Ability to conceive, organize, conduct, and publish independent research of international calibre Expert knowledge in one or more science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) discipline Expert ability to contribute to the planning and execution of research projects Advanced knowledge of the exploitation of research data, including proven ability to analyze or enable the interpretation of such data Skills Candidates should have obtained a PhD within the past three years (PhD received on or after July 1, 2023) or expect to complete their PhD within 6 months of appointment Experience in publishing international calibre research papers in the refereed scientific or engineering literature Experience in working in a team work environment Demonstrated research excellence Reliability Status verification of background information over a period of 5 years is required Ability to conceive, organize, conduct, and publish independent research of international calibre Expert knowledge in one or more science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) discipline Expert ability to contribute to the planning and execution of research projects Advanced knowledge of the exploitation of research data, including proven ability to analyze or enable the interpretation of such data Research - Communication (Level 2) Research - Creative thinking (Level 2) Research - Results orientation (Level 2) Research - Teamwork (Level 1) Cover Letter Resume Description of past research (maximum three pages) List of Publications Original research proposal you would like to undertake as a fellow at NRC.
