Portfolio Implementation Associate
Mercer, a Marsh business, is seeking a talented individual to join their Wealth team as a Portfolio Implementation Associate in Boston. The role involves managing client and investment product implementations, ensuring exceptional client service, and facilitating communication across various teams.ResponsibilitiesDevelop strong relationships with both internal and external parties, and work across team boundaries to deliver results on key department and business initiativesService clients to the highest standard and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism at all timesAssist with the development and maintenance of detailed project plans for each implementationAssist with the legal review process between the client and internal Mercer Legal to ensure that agreements are negotiated timelyWork with operational stakeholders to ensure that all client setup requirements are considered and executed timelyEnsure that all new client onboarding compliance requirements are metImplements appropriate risk controls and procedures and ensures adherence to these procedures and controlsEnsure that incoming work is handled effectively, promptly, and accurately so that the needs of internal and external customers are consistently met and exceededInvestigate and resolve queries received from internal and external customersMaintain a strong risk awareness mindset while contributing to a culture of continuous improvementSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field of study1-6 years of experience in Client Service, Portfolio Operations, Fund Accounting and/or Custodial oversight, with progressive increase in responsibilitiesStrong analytical and organizational skills, and ability to multi-taskClear and effective communication (both verbal and written) while engaging directly with clientsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeGeneral experience with client relationship management systems, and databases is advantageousPrior investment experience with Defined Contribution Plans, Pensions & Not-For-Profit organizationsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment where adherence to procedures and controls is criticalBasic understanding of investment management concepts, markets, and operational mechanics of institutional portfolios and investment vehiclesPositive attitude & proven ability to work well in a team oriented environment, while maintaining ownership over individual responsibilitiesBenefitsHealth and welfare benefitsTuition assistance401K savings and other retirement programsEmployee assistance programsCompany OverviewMarsh (NYSE: MRSH) is a global leader in risk, strategy and people, advising clients in 130 countries across four businesses: Marsh Risk, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman.
