Portal Developer
Description:
We are looking to welcome a Java Developer to our Delivery team, providing production support to multiple engagements delivering RSI’s Government Premier® product. This Senior Consultant (Java developer) will be responsible for developing front end and server-side applications using Java technologies. Experience with Portal Server development is a plus.
Position requires immediate authorization to work in the U.S.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience with Java/JEE technologies
• Java 8 or higher.
• Experience building Java/JEE applications using IDEs such as Eclipse and RAD.
• Front End Development using HTML, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery and Ajax
• Experience with Spring MVC.
• Strong experience in Web Services (SOAP and REST)
• Experience with JDBC, ORM Tools (e.g., Hibernate, JPA) and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
• Experience with Java build tools such as Maven, Ant
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience applying the SDLC in a project setting
• Thorough understanding of object-oriented design principles
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed
Preferred:
• Portal development experience with HCL Digital Experience
• IBM WebSphere Portal Server
• IBM Web Content Manager
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
