The Role: Political Affairs Intern As a Political Affairs Intern with The Borgen Project, you will play a pivotal role in our advocacy efforts, focusing on poverty reduction through political outreach and engagement. This is a part-time, 12-hour per week, 12-week unpaid remote internship, with the flexibility to work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks if your availability is limited. Key Responsibilities: Leading Public and Political Outreach: Engage in public and political outreach activities within your state and district, raising awareness about The Borgen Project's mission and initiatives. Government Meetings: Arrange and participate in meetings with members of Congress/Government in your State/District/Constituency to advocate for poverty-reduction legislation. Representation at Events: Represent The Borgen Project at various business, political, and community events, embodying our organization's values and mission. Fundraising: Assist with fundraising efforts, including creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets to support our initiatives.
