Summary This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for analysis, development, research, and special studies for matters impacting a diverse portfolio of human resources information technology. Responsibilities include support for correspondence, policy, issuances, congressional and legislative affairs, and strategic planning. Duties Help As a Policy and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: • Assists, manages, tracks progress, and provides oversight for human resources information technology policy, related issuances, reporting, congressional engagements, and correspondence. • Monitors laws, policies, programs, special interests, and areas of concern regarding human resources information technology policies, programs, and operations. • Develops and updates issuances and policies to establish and maintain compliance and standardization. • Leads and conducts projects and studies requiring analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness. Assesses performance of key initiatives. • Develops strategic communications messaging, channels, activities, and partnerships. • Serves as a focal point for human resources IT inquiries. Assesses performance of key initiatives. • Develops strategic communications messaging, channels, activities, and partnerships. • Serves as a focal point for human resources IT inquiries. You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: • Manages, tracks progress, and provides oversight for human resources information technology policy, related issuances, reporting, congressional engagements, and correspondence. • Monitors laws, policies, programs, special interests, and areas of concern regarding human resources information technology policies, programs, and operations. • Develops and updates issuances and policies to establish and maintain compliance and standardization. Supervises and conducts projects and studies requiring analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness. • Assesses performance of key initiatives. • Manages strategic communications messaging, channels, activities, and partnerships. Serves as a focal point for human resources IT inquiries. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
