The RoleAs a Platform/DevOps/SRE Engineer at EDITED, you will play a crucial role in our technical ecosystem, providing expertise and technical direction to deliver high-impact projects. This role encompasses a blend of traditional infrastructure, security, and engineering responsibilities, and will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production systems. This position is crucial for maintaining our network, managing databases, and supporting our GenAI initiatives. You will work closely with development teams to build and maintain the infrastructure and deployment processes, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who loves a challenge and is excited by the prospect of working on cutting edge technology and learning and growing in a small team that utilises modern engineering techniques to solve complex and interesting problems.Responsibilities:Infrastructure & Security Management: Maintain and enhance our network and infrastructure. Ensure robust security measures are in place.System & Database Upkeep: Manage and troubleshoot issues related to systems and databases. Provide reactive support to resolve bugs and system issues.Development Roadmap Participation: Collaborate with development teams on the roadmap, adapting to project changes and priorities.Support GenAI Initiatives: Facilitate the deployment of GenAI technologies with autonomous tooling, ensuring alignment with product development.Containerization & Automation: Work extensively with containerized solutions like Docker to streamline deployment and scaling processes.Large Data Lake Management: Handle and optimise large data lakes, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.RequirementsIt’s important for us to look for candidates that strive for excellence with a positive attitude, a strong sense of ownership and work ethic, and a passion to consistently develop and improve their knowledge and skillset.
