Planning Associate
Modera Wealth Management is an independent, fee-only firm committed to providing personalized financial planning and investment management. They are seeking a Planning Associate to support lead advisors in delivering excellent client service, preparing financial plans, and assisting in client meetings.ResponsibilitiesSupporting Lead Advisors in all aspects of delivering excellent client service in a wide range of client activities, including onboarding of new assetsCompleting work that is accurate on a timely basis, juggling multiple projects while documenting progress so that other team members are informedAssisting with preparation for client meetingsPreparing client Investment Policy Statements and asset allocation reportsCommunicating with clients, as well as their accountants and attorneys, verbally and in writingAttending client meetings and assisting with documentation and follow up actionsMaintain a willingness to pitch in when needed with visitors, answering phones, and scheduling meetingsConducting in-depth client interviews to gather personal financial data and to formulate planning goalsDeveloping comprehensive financial plans focusing on investment strategy, tax, retirement and estate planning, executive compensation, risk management, cash flow and education fundingAssisting clients with the implementation of their financial plansParticipating in client meetings to support the primary relationship managerReviewing and interpreting investment allocation trading reportsCollaborating with the client service team to facilitate and monitor client service activitiesOccasional travel may be requiredSkillsBachelor's Degree0-3 years of financial planning experience desirable or equivalent financial planning courseworkObtainment of FINRA Series 65 required during first twelve months; registration handled by Modera's compliance departmentTeam player, able to work well with all levels of the firm, and pitch in wherever neededProven analytical and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of planning strategies and solutionsHighly proficient in the Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefitsPerformance-based bonusSafe Harbor 401(k) planMedical, Dental, Vision, Flex-Spending Account, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability and Life insurancePaid vacationOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationPartial remote workCompany OverviewModera specializes in providing wealth management and portfolio management services.
