Title: PL/SQL Developer Location: PA-Philadelphia Job Type Contract, Hybrid Category Software Engineering Req # BOS-5b0ab128-2c0e-446a-b64a-46080bedef03 Pay Rate $40 - $50 (hourly estimate) Job Description: - Develop and optimize backend services with a strong focus on PL/SQL query building and database interaction. - Support Pharmacy specific domain initiatives, ensuring efficient data operations. - Perform unit testing and validate functionality of developed code (functional testing limited to own code). - Collaborate with a small, agile group functioning as a shared service team, moving quickly across projects. - Work independently with minimal supervision—drive discussions and solutions without micromanagement. - Report to the Engineering Lead and adapt to evolving priorities. This is a contract, with the possibility of extension. This is a hybrid role in Philadelphia, PA Compensation is based off many factors including experience, education, and more and this position offers a range of $50 - $65/hr. Required Skills & Experience • 7+ years' experience in software engineering from ideation to production deployment of IT solutions (PL/SQL and Java specific) • 5+ years' experience in full software development life cycle including ideation, coding, coding standards, testing, code reviews, and production deployments • 5+ years of experience with backend Java , Spring Boot and Microservices • 3+ years of hands-on experience with a public cloud provider • 3+ years working with pub/sub tools like Kafka or similar • 3+ years of experience with database design/development (Postgres or similar) • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD, or similar) • Demonstrated experience with development and deployment of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) • Must demonstrate innovative mindset, divergent thinking, and convergent actions. • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts; experience deploying services on GKE is a plus Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
