What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques
- Instruct and guide patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities
- Document patient interventions and services provided in the acute care setting in a timely manner
- Observe patient responses and report changes to nurses and physical therapists
- Educate and train patients and caregivers, adapting to their learning style preferences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Minimum of two years' technical experience in a related field is preferred

- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit, and/or outpatient setting
